The wood processing industry is considered one of the important economic sectors of Vietnam, making a significant contribution to production and export. From supplying raw materials, processing products to creating many jobs for people. Given the importance of this industry, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 327/QD-TTg approving the Scheme on development of a sustainable and effective wood processing industry in the 2021-2030 period.
This project aims to improve the competitiveness of Vietnam’s wood processing industry, turning it into a highly competitive industry in the international and regional markets.
This project focuses on three main objectives, which are:
1. Ensure that forests play an important role in protecting the environment and mitigating the impacts of climate change.
2. Strengthen the management and sustainable use of forest resources, ensuring the biodiversity of forests.
3. Improve the quality and efficiency of forest protection and development.
